La Creuse is one of the three department that makes up the region of Limousin in the centre of France. It is right next to the Auvergne region and the Puy-de-Dôme (a beautiful range of volcanoes) are only a one hour (rather scenic ) drive away from Felletin (it is well worth a visit).

La Creuse is a beautiful, tranquil, and rural part of France. It is underpopulated and still undiscovered by many British and other tourists, which means that even in the summer months you don’t get stuck in traffic.

It is perfect for people who like touring in their cars, motorbikes or bicycles or walkers and hikers. There is plenty for the nature lovers to look out for and the spectacular Plateau de Millevaches is a great place to spend any season.

La Creuse is known as the “French lake district” and has hundreds of lakes. Those who enjoy fishing, kayaking, windsurfing or boating will not be disappointed. Lac de Vassivière is a huge lake, which has all your watersports needs catered for, including hiring of equipment.

You will find lots of  fêtes all through the year, and in the summer months there is barely a village or a hamlet that isn't offering something to see. From music festivals, to bread festivals, from antique markets to normal markets there is always something going on somewhere!

Come and check out Felletin "the gateway to the Plateau de Millevaches", we will be happy to be your hosts - you won't be disappointed.
