The main house has been restored, keeping the original features, and adding carefully selected antique furniture. The building is primarily 18th century (the fireplace in chambre 1, pictured left, has the date 1761 carved in it), although parts of it may date back much further (the house is built on the site of one of the four gates to the medievil fortified town).
We offer traditional French chambres d'hôtes with a touch of luxury: large beautiful, ensuite, rooms at reasonable prices. In addition we can provide visitors with delicious vegetarian evening meals.
The cost of staying one night in either Chambre 1 or 2 (1 or 2 persons) is 50 Euros, except in July and August when it is 60euros (stay two nights or more in July and August and it will cost you just 50euros per night). Chambre 3 can be used as an apartment. It has a kitchen as well as a large bathroom with full sized bath, with rain-shower. Chambre 3 costs 60 Euros per night (70euros for one nights stay in July or August) with the kitchen or 50 Euros (60euros for one nights stay in July and August) without.

Breakfast is charged at 6 Euros per person.

The rooms are ready for you from 4pm. On departure day, we ask you to leave before 11am. If you want to arrive before 16h, or if you want to leave after 11am, please ask us if it is possible (there may be additional charges)
A couple staying 2 nights or more can take advantage of our special
offer: bed, breakfast, 4 course evening meal (plus coffee
and 1/4 carafe of house wine) for just 100 Euros per night.*
*In
order to qualify for this offer you must mention it at the time of
booking and pay a 50% acompte - a non-refundable deposit - (via paypal or French Cheque), the
balance to be paid at the end of your stay. Only valid if you are
staying with us for 2, or more, consecutive nights, and stay in Chambre
1 or 2. Chambre
3 may be booked for the deal but without use of the kitchen. If booking
chambre 3 and the kitchen the cost per night is 110Euros. Some dates may be excluded from this offer, we will inform you
at the time of booking.
At the time of booking we ask for an acompte (a non-refundable deposit) of 50€ or 25% of the total cost of your stay (which ever is the greatest), unless booking our special offer (see above) where the deposit is 50%. You can pay your deposit via Paypal, bank transfer or (if you have a French bank account) a French cheque. You can pay the balance on departure (we only accept French Cheques, cheque vacances ANCV, or cash for payment on departure)

Our chambres d'hôtes (a French Guesthouse, or Bed and Breakfast) is located just 10 minutes from Aubusson. In the department of La Creuse, in the Limousin Region it is halfway beween Limoges and Clermont-Ferrand in the centre of France, and ideally located to explore the Auvergne region, including La Mont Dore and the Puy-de-Dôme.
